Tamara was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She attended Iowa State University and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering May 2006. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree with the University of Oklahoma online Civil Engineering program. She worked for the Missouri DOT for over 14 years. Currently, Tamara is the Transportation Engineer for Washington County in Maryland. She is responsible for traffic studies, signal and pedestrian concerns, customer service requests and project plan reviews.

In her spare time, Tamara, enjoys volunteering for different non-profits, shopping, traveling, wine tasting and spending time with family and friends. Previously, she worked part time at Sylvan Learning Center, teaching math and when given the opportunity she tutors math and ACT/SAT prep classes. She is also very active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Lastly, Tamara has 3 sisters and 5 brothers that all reside in Chicago.
