Brooke Grossman is the is the Chief Mission Officer for Horizon Goodwill Industries, overseeing human resource, training and development, and human services ventures in Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Brooke sits as a member of the Local Management Board, Governor’s Interagency Council on Homelessness Workforce Committee, Youth REACH Maryland Steering Committee, and is the past Chair of the Local Homeless Coalition in Washington County. Additionally, she is a member of the CORE Group for the inaugural Urban Rural Action Maryland Economy Equity Project. Participation in these activities affords Brooke the opportunity to collaborate with individuals with varied backgrounds, experience, and point of views to develop innovative solutions to challenges facing our community.
Brooke is the champion of several projects to address equitable access to housing, food, and healthcare within the City of Hagerstown. This includes the addition 10 youth year-round shelter beds a resource that has been lacking in the city for many years. Additionally, Brooke is part of a team working to bring a full-service grocery store into the core of the City brining fresh affordable food to residents that do not currently have access too fresh food.
Brooke is an active member of the community she volunteers for events like Wheaton Park Day of Caring, Project UNITE Community Clean-Up, and 7th Grade Career Day, and community outreach with the Hagerstown Police Department. In 2019, she was recognized by the Hagerstown Police Department with the Certificate of Honor for her work. She believes strongly that Hagerstown is on the cusp of greatness and donates her time and talent to help foster our growth as a community.
Brooke is mom to three children and is enjoying watching them grow into advocates for their community.
