Melissa Noel owns several businesses and is the CEO of Noel’s Fire Protection LLC.  Melissa serves on multiple boards and belongs to several local community organizations. A graduate of Leadership Washington County class#34 and previously served on the Maryland Economic Commission and will be joining Leadership Maryland Class 2024. She was a speaker at TEDX Hagerstown Women in 2023 and spoke about women in nontraditional roles which can be viewed on YouTube entitled “Bringing Home the Bacon.” She is currently pursuing her degree in Political Science at UMGC. 

She has been married to her husband, business partner, and best friend, Brian, for 31 years. Mother of 3 children, Brian Jr (29), Katie (22), and fierce advocate for Makenzie (15) who is twice exceptional; one grandchild, Aubrey, and has been self-employed for 20 years. 

As the owner of The Yarn Shop, she pursues her love of the fiber arts through knitting, crochet, felting, and spinning. Recently unboxing her Cricut from three years ago she has now discovered the fun of creating personalized projects for family. She is also an avid book lover and appreciates well written historical fiction.
