“Advocating for More Advocacy: It’s a Passion and a Business”

Taj Smith, owner of the Advocate Junkie, has a Bachelor of Applied Science, Human Services Child and Family Welfare. She has a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of advocacy and a life-long commitment to community service.  During this interactive workshop, Taj will discuss entrepreneurial traits and strategies for effective advocacy. Participants will engage in discussions, brainstorming, and games that will help reinforce key concepts such as entrepreneurship essentials, the definition and importance of advocacy, self-advocacy techniques, advocacy tools, and action planning.
